OB Arts Collective was established in 2014 by founder Reina Mystique. For three years Reina started offering both art and voice programs for the community's youth. She started teaching after school programs at local middle schools as well as a family art hour at the Ocean Beach Library. In June of 2017 Reina hired Emily Arenberg as a new teacher once Reina decided to peruse her passion as a full time Musician. Emily then took over ownership of OB Arts Collective in March of 2018.
The goal of OB Arts Collective is to build a family-like community through art and enrich the minds of San Diego's youth through artistic outlets. At OB Arts Collective, we like to think outside the box of conventional art classes and and strive to stimulate a child's curiosity when they are attending our art programs. While the outcome of final product is usually the focus of many art classes, the process is our priority so students can learn to feel comfortable and confident in their future creative journeys.
